Senior Cloud Engineer • June 2016 - January 2017
Led an international DevOps team to build the company's first product. Utilized standard DevOps tools including Chef, CloudFormation, Terraform, git, and Jenkins to create an environment where we collaborated and worked toward an end goal. As the architect, product owner, and technical lead on the project, I balanced time between training resources on the team, unblocking resources on the current tasks, and planning for the future sprints.
Key Accomplishments:
- Built a scale from 1 to N ELK deployment using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Chef
- Designed hierarchy of dependencies that are required to satisfy customer use cases in an ELK stack. Dashboard -> index -> Logstash Input -> (script, rpm, pip, credentials, user input parameters)

Utilized infrastructure as code and configuration management to build resilient web application deployments. Homelab

My homelab is based on pfSense, HP ProCurve switches, Unifi WAPs, a Unifi PtMP antenna, several Unifi CPE antennas, Proxmox, Kubernetes and FreeNAS. My homelab includes services I utilize on the day to day and services I experiment with to further my knowledge and experience. Some of the services I run include: Pi-hole, dokuwiki, Tor Relay, Plex, NTP, Bitwarden, Unifi NVR, SmokePing, Home Assistant, ZoneMinder, PiAware, WeeWX, and Unifi Controller.
Weather Station
2018 - Present
I utilize WeeWX to gather weather data from a Davis Vantage Pro2 personal weather station and publish it to Weather Underground.
NTP Pool Project
2017 - Present
The NTP Pool Project is the largest organization of NTP servers in the world and is used by millions of systems worldwide. To give back to the NTP Pool community I donate a server that is apart of the NTP Pool. I also created a turn key solution for deploying a NTP server in AWS.
